Who maintains the Lake Macquarie BMX Track?
- The track is maintained by LMBMX Club, we rely on sponsors, canteen, fundraising and race entry money to cover track maintenance costs (soil, machinery etc), and volunteers to manpower.
- The council does not assist us with any maintenance however we do occasionally receive grants and help from the local and state governments which help us maintain improve our facilities.
- Before racing we kindly ask parents to arrive early and assist with track setup and event preparations.
Volunteers
- The Club is run solely on volunteers, without the continued help of many members the events held at the track each week simply could not happen.
- We need volunteers each week to help run racing, gate practice and to help out at track working bees.
- Most roles are certainly not to challenging to take on, so please do not feel overwhelmed with the thought of offering help!
- There are many different areas of help that members can offer their time for and full guidance for a volunteering role will be provided by another experienced club members.
